Helping first time buyers, home movers & more

As independent, fully qualified mortgage brokers, we’re here to take the guesswork out of the process – saving you time, money, and stress.

We’ll start with a friendly, in-depth chat to understand your needs, then recommend the lender and mortgage that best suits your circumstances.

Thanks to our years of experience, we know exactly what different lenders are looking for.

So, we won’t send you down the wrong path or waste your time with an application that’s unlikely to be accepted – potentially helping you avoid missing out on the property you’ve set your heart on.

Why choose FPG Mortgages?

Over our 30 years in business, we’ve helped thousands of buyers in Kingston, South West London, Surrey and beyond secure their dream homes on mortgage terms that suit them.

Here’s a few reasons to choose us:

  • We’ll provide you with 100% independent mortgage advice, because we’re not tied to a specific lender.
  • We’re whole of market with access to around 3,500 mortgage products, meaning we can find the best product for your circumstances.
  • We’re fully qualified to provide advice. That might sound obvious, but not all mortgage companies work that way. Many call centres and even some high street banks operate on a non-advisory basis – meaning they can explain their products but can’t tell you which one is right for your situation.
  • We’re a trusted local company and have been since 1995, with over 100+ 5* reviews on Google.
  • We’ll support you for the entire length of your mortgage – from the first payment to the last.

What is an Agreement in Principle?

An agreement in principle which is the same as a decision in principle or mortgage in principle is essentially a provisionally approved mortgage from a lender after they’ve taken your finances and credit profile into account. In most cases the lender will issue a certificate which provisionally confirms your eligibility and borrowing potential, which is essential before starting your property search.

Why should a first time buyer use a mortgage broker?

There are numerous reasons why you as a first time buyer should use a mortgage broker:

  • We can help you find the most cost effective mortgage deal for your first purchase and any mortgage needs you may have in the future.
  • We take care of the whole application process on your behalf, from start to finish, so you don’t have to lift a finger.
  • We will provide ongoing support throughout the overall process, answering any questions you may have along the way.

Reach out to us via email or phone to hear about the many ways in which we can help you.

Are there any hidden costs when remortgaging?

Some lenders charge arrangement fees on their products which can be added to the mortgage balance to avoid you having to pay up front.

Most lenders will offer a free mortgage valuation and legal fees too, but not always.
